My dream is to help the less fortunate have a Turkey on their table for Thanksgiving, by letting people who can afford to help, help. Thru donations I will be buying turkeys and donating them to the smaller food pantries that are not able to get Turkeys at Thanksgiving because of the lack of staffing to ask for the donations they need. To start I will mostly be working with the small community food pantries and food centers in the local areas of Riverside County, Inland Empire. They need the most help because they don’t get the larger kinds of donations that Salvation Army and other larger organizations get because they just don’t have the resources to feed the people they are helping and go out and raise money to get Turkeys for Thanksgiving too.
As I am able to bring attention to this problem, I hope to be able to reach out to the world and maybe everyone will have a Turkey on their table for Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving isn’t a time for just those who can afford to have a traditional Turkey dinner. Everyone should have the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving it is a National Holiday and it doesn’t really feel like you are part of the celebration unless you are eating turkey. I want all children and adults to be able to celebrate as the Pilgrims and Indians did, as they got together and shared all they had. I want all the children and adults to look forward to and have a filling meal that will be remembered long after the turkey is cut. I want others to feel like I feel when I help people. I want people to help because they want to help someone be happy.
